MOP (Muriate of Potash)

Potassium fertilizers are commonly used to address plant deficiencies. When soils cannot supply the necessary amount of potassium required by crops, it becomes essential to supplement this vital plant nutrient. Potash is a general term describing various potassium-containing fertilizers used in agriculture. The most commonly used source, potassium chloride (KCl), is frequently referred to as muriate of potash or MOP. Potassium is always present in minerals as a single-charged cation (K+).
